BURMA BY SECKIN YILMAZ

by Lee Litumbe in Featured Travels

Merhaba! My name is Seckin, I'm 40 years old, I have a 1-year old daughter called Yaz and 9-year old American Cocker Spaniel called Elvis. I'm a hotel manager and live in a two thousand year-old, small fishermen's town by the Aegean Sea called Foça (Phocaea). What intrigues me most about travel is simply that the world is a beautiful place and I want to see as much of it as possible and share the beauty of it with as many people as I can through my photographs. Photography is an important part of my travels. I always have my camera with me - no matter where I am. Before I travel to any given destination, I always do a little research on the best places to photograph within the region. Sometimes I spend a minute to take a shot, sometimes I spend hours. Anything I can share with people interests me, be it landmarks, landscapes, sunsets, skies, streets, daily life or faces.

Hi! I’m Megan, a 27-year-old writer and photographer currently living in Bangkok, Thailand and teaching kindergarten at a trilingual school. I love traveling for the quirks and surprises that come with immersing yourself in a culture that is different from your own. Also, this world is pretty dang beautiful. My first true travel experience abroad was moving to Breda, The Netherlands. I went to university there for a year and saw a lot of Europe. It’s no surprise that wandering Europe really stirred that wanderlust in me. When I chose Southeast Asia as my next destination, I knew I needed some sort of income to be able to support myself, and teaching is a popular choice here. I love kids, and as difficult as it was to jump right into having my own class of 20+ three/four year olds, it’s been wonderful.

ON THE ROAD BY MATT DUTILE

by Lee Litumbe in Featured Travels

I'm Matt Dutile and I've been a professional photographer for the last three and a half years, and within the last two have focused my niche in travel and lifestyle photography. In those two years I've traveled across five continents and over 25 countries. That sense of adventure - the thrill of new sights, sounds, and tastes - that's what drives me to continue my exploration of the world, and sharing with others how I see it. Above all it's the people that I meet and the understanding I gain from their living situations and world views that drives me on. People are my addiction, my drug; and they're better than any high out there.
