I'm a visual storyteller based in Los Angeles, specializing in travel and editorial photography. Because I travel for the connection from my soul to the earth to the people, I am always seeking to capture and understand the identity of the region I’m visiting in hopes to become a more well-rounded storyteller, and person. Traveling allows me the opportunity to leave my comfort zone and expand my worldview -- it humbles me, challenges me, exhilarates me, surprises me, and evolves my artistic spirit. his trip marks my third journey to the continent and was planned around having three key experiences: traversing the Altiplano lakes & high elevation geysers in the Atacama Desert in Chile (the world's driest desert), seeing the Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia covered with water (which turns it into a mirror), and exploring Machu Picchu in Peru on my 30th birthday.

My name is Jenelle Kappe. I am 31, grew up in New Jersey but currently live in Chicago. For me, traveling is soul reviving. There is something incredibly liberating, fascinating and grounding about exploring and experiencing foreign cultures. It forces you to see this immense world in its entirety. Painting a bigger picture that has a tendency to be obscured by everyday life in the “western world”. My passion for life and love is rejuvenated when I travel. The cultivating awareness and knowledge of other cultures and the exposure to a boundless variety of people is so inspirational. It reminds me that the trials and tribulations of my everyday life – although at the time may seem detrimental – are truly trivial when it comes down to it. Travel is validation that there is more to life.

As part of our Frequent Flyer series, we post follow up stories from previously spotlighted travelers. Parker is a professional photographer that has traveled the world extensively and spent the last six months driving from Montana to South America with his friends for their Vanajeros project. In his previous feature, he shared his experiences traveling throughout Simeuleu, Indonesia, documenting daily life, while surfing with his older brother. Now he's back to shed light on the vast amount of adventures, cultures, and beauty that exists within Ecuador and the refreshing amount of nationalism he experienced throughout his stay.
When I returned to the States, myself and three of my friends, Joel, Aidan, and Madison, hopped in a van for the Vanajeros project to spend the next six months driving from Montana to South America to photograph and hand out portraits to our subjects along the way. It was our way of showing appreciation to the people who were generous enough to give us their time.

My name is Guillaume Flandre, I’m 28 and I’m a web developer living in Paris. I first started shooting with a point and shoot camera during my travels, and began to be more and more interested in photography when I moved to New York 5 years ago. What I love about traveling is the getting-out-of-your-comfort-zone aspect of it. Being lost in unknown streets in a country where you don’t speak the language is one of the most exciting feelings there is! I believe my very first experience abroad was going to Barcelona with my parents. But the true experience that made me fall in love with traveling was traveling by myself for a couple of weeks in Lithuania back in 2006.
