Éluwa Studio is an artisanal Start-up based in Dakar, catering to the modern woman looking to add a touch of handcrafted luxury into her home. We are passionate about empowering women through art while celebrating African ingenuity.

We are looking for a part-time Intern to assist with production, shipping and general office duties.

Duration: Ongoing

Location: Dakar, Senegal

Commitment: Available 20-25 hours per week

Compensation: 200,000 CFA a month, paid bi-weekly

Language: Fluent in French, Wolof (English a plus)

Responsibilities:

  • Packing and shipping orders

  • Assisting in making and packaging candles

  • Assisting at craft shows (occasionally)

  • Hand pouring candles

  • Wicking jars in preparation for pouring process

  • Labeling and cleaning of candles with aesthetic care

  • Occasional admin duties

    Requirements:

  • Experience managing inventory and/or working in fulfillment or retail

  • High attention to detail

  • Strong communication

  • Positive energy

  • Ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to stay organized, motivated, and maintain a high level of urgency.

  • Ability to take direction

  • Solution-driven individual with a strong ability to take initiative and high attention to detail

  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliable, efficient, and consistent with ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent multitasking skills - ability to manage and deliver multiple projects at once

  • Prior experience working in a team environment and independently

  • Inquisitive; high level of curiosity with drive to see projects to completion
