My name is Joanna Lin. I am 25 years old, and I work in Public Relations in New York City, where I handle publicity and media relations for global brands.  I was born and raised in New York City, a cultural melting pot that has always nurtured my insatiable curiosity of the world and in some ways 'cursed' me with fernweh (far sickness). My love for travel is a deep case of wanderlust. It is a blessing to be a citizen of the world, and I find myself always longing to be in faraway places. I feel the most in tune with my true self when I am lost in a place where I am unknown.

AROUND THE WORLD WITH SEATTLE DREDGE

by Lee Litumbe in Featured Travels

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Seattle Dredge is a 26 year old full time travel blogger who has been documenting her extensive global travels since the age of 17. Reading her incredible blog is quite the adventure as she continues to share her passport with readers; recounting every travel experience from Iceland, Australia, Kenya, Costa Rica and everywhere in between. Interestingly enough, the uniquely named explorer has never been to Seattle and was actually named after Native American Chief Seathl of Duwamish.

NEW YORK BY DANIELA SPECTOR

I generally go by Daniela Spector and I was raised in Miami, Florida with a father who collected rocks aka a geologist and a mother who collected tchotchkes aka an amateur hoarder; so the concept of collecting was prevalent in my upbringing. As I grew older my obsession slowly evolved into photography. Observing the world through a viewfinder eventually changed my perspective. I fell in love with moments where all the colors complimented each other perfectly or when light naturally landed on a subject in an interesting way.

SENEGAL WITH ANDREA BOMO

by Lee Litumbe in Featured Travels

My name is Andrea, and I’m 24 years old. I’m a journalist and entrepreneur from Cameroon currently based in England. What interests me most about travel is the growth process. I believe traveling is the best education one can have. When you travel, you step out of your comfort zone and discover new cultures, meet new people, learn new languages, try new food and realize that, at the end of the day, we are all the same no matter where we come from. By discovering the world, I have discovered myself.

Hi my name is Stéphanie! I’m 28 years old, a graphic designer based in Paris, and I’m deaf. What I love most about traveling is meeting new people and discovering new cultures. As a deaf person, it’s always interesting to meet foreign deafies to exchange about our culture and learn new sign languages (sign language is not international). I’m also an amateur photographer, so traveling keeps me inspired. I have found that travel is also the best way to learn about myself, fix new personal challenges, and become more open-minded.
