My impression of California for the longest time was limited to excessive plastic surgery, Rodeo Drive, and bleach blonde hair - basically every bad stereotype out there. So when I was finally able to take my first trip out west, I was pleasantly surprised to find that like most stereotypes, my assumptions were merely exaggerations. San Diego was nothing short of peaceful and exciting; especially the snorkeling at La Jolla Cove.
